By.Arlene Pottery is a mother-and-daughter team of potters in southern NH.
Arlene was a favorite name of Wendy‘s father (Meg’s grandfather), and we both have it as our middle name.
🌸
Wendy fell in love with clay in High School, wearing out a couple pairs of shoes on the kick wheels & earning a pottery scholarship from the League of NH Craftsmen in Hanover, NH. She suggested that funding a clay studio would be better than college, but she got a B.S. in Hotel Admin. She’s married with two children (shout out Sean & Meg). She became a teacher. After 4 decades away from clay, Wendy found her joy again by taking a pottery class at a local studio. 9-months later a clay studio was born in her basement.

Meg is interested in how art can be used to heal. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in 2015. Clay & photography have always been a big interest. Exploring these medium further with focus and intention with this project feels inspiring!
